The "Ring Opener" knife, also known as turn-ring knife, dates back to the 19th century. They have been made in single blade versions as well as equal end double blade versions. It is believed that they were introduced for ease of opening for women and children with hands too frail to open knives using the common nail nick. Whether this statement is true or not, these beautiful knives are an engineering marvel and a lot of fun to operate.
Jeff makes this model in the single blade version with the classic Wharncliffe blade. This little companion is great for pocket carry or keeping in the office desk. But be sure to keep an eye on it or the wife and kids just may walk off with it.
